LOL....it finally happened...I always wondered when those two brothers would kill themselves...guess Noel had to break up the "band" so he would not kill his little brother. For all practical purposes, the band has been broken up for years. There are only two original members and they have this revolving door of drummers and of the two original members, only 1 had talent.

That said...this is not the first time Noel has left the band...but the last time he did it, Oasis was relevant in the music world. And like it or not, at one point, Oasis was the biggest band in the world.

Oasis may have been an Beatle rip offs, but their first albums were classics in my book.

even as a kid i had them marked as horrible writers, vocalists, and showmen who opportunistically slid into the 1990's bohemian cliche placeholder occupied by so many others who, unlike them, have gracefully remained content with their memorable and charming place in history and stayed there. the gallaghers have been doing shows long after the band's popularity had come and gone. i remember one day liam absolutely humiliating himself on TRL (wasn't a regular MTV viewer but i did catch this gem) by publicly claiming to be a god or something to that effect. his reptation had no chance. it's funny how such a clumsy narcissist had the influence he had for such a time. how bizarre, how bizarre.

that cockiness is what made them famous. Even the guys from Metallica said that that cockiness is what propelled that band to the top and made them "rock n roll". It's true that they have not made anything relevent in the past decade (everything after their 2nd album was pretty much mediocre at best), but their legions of zealots gave the gallaghers the impression that they still had their A game, so they just kept on going (what's worse, an oasis fan or a radiohead fan?)...They are, without a doubt, one of the more over hyped bands of this decade.
