c'mon newegg...what are ya tryin to pull?

Epox 8K7A: (yesterday) $130 with $5 s/h
today: $125, $10 s/h

same 135...but still, i thought that was kinda funny 🙂

(if u think im weird...it's late, and im tired...sooo 😛)

Wow..it's on sale!!! Doh! Seriously, people will probably not even notice that, they will just notice that the actual price of the board has gone down..it's actually pretty smart..😉

yea...shrewd newegg...shrewd 🙂

i looked at the price...and im like "YAY! $5 down! w00t"...then..."DOH, 10 s/h...grrrr"

🙂

lol...yea, im still buying stuff from them; they still have the lowest price on that Epox board, which is quite the hotness 🙂

Even though they are doing this "tricks" I still like them. Their price before and after this switch is awesome.

If their shipping diminishes as you buy multiple products, they would be a hell of a vendor to buy from. Stacking shipping is just plain wrong...

Steve (compuwiz1) is right, they are probably doing this for market research to see what generates sales.

But many online companies do this all the time, but not a lot of them are under the close scrutiny of the AnandTech population. 😉

i completely agree serialb. the only reason i dont buy from newegg for multiple items is because they stack shipping. i usually go with mwave.com for multiple items since they are nearly identical in price on a lot of items.

true dat compuwiz1...it certainly makes sense that they would try that...and i believe the 125 and 10 will attract more ppl...who really looks at teh s/h? hehe

lol junthin 🙂 im buildin my first system soon...so im eagerly watching the prices fall...and fall...and fall...and fall...this stuff is gonna be free soon 😀 (well...big hyperbolie there...lol)

I could sell hardware all day long at below what everyone else is charging, probably taking a big portion of business....right down til when they check out and see the shipping charge. Many people would not even care about that, within reason. Where it could be made up is in shipping markup. 🙂

That is how lots of vendors do it. What Newegg seems to be bringing is very fair prices and not killing you on shipping. Pretty sweet deal. 🙂

that's just the way things go...but here's something funnier...when i bought the 8k7a from newegg maybe 2 weeks ago, it was $132 w/free shipping. ok, i bought it...then a few days later it was $130 - but with $5 shipping, the price actually went UP $3😀 hey, since they are good and cheap anyway, it no biggie
