Wow..it's on sale!!! Doh! Seriously, people will probably not even notice that, they will just notice that the actual price of the board has gone down..it's actually pretty smart..;)

Even though they are doing this "tricks" I still like them. Their price before and after this switch is awesome.

If their shipping diminishes as you buy multiple products, they would be a hell of a vendor to buy from. Stacking shipping is just plain wrong...

That's marketing and sales. Just testing the appeal of doing it one way, vs the other, probably. :)

Steve (compuwiz1) is right, they are probably doing this for market research to see what generates sales.

But many online companies do this all the time, but not a lot of them are under the close scrutiny of the AnandTech population. ;)

i completely agree serialb. the only reason i dont buy from newegg for multiple items is because they stack shipping. i usually go with mwave.com for multiple items since they are nearly identical in price on a lot of items.

I could sell hardware all day long at below what everyone else is charging, probably taking a big portion of business....right down til when they check out and see the shipping charge. Many people would not even care about that, within reason. Where it could be made up is in shipping markup. :)

That is how lots of vendors do it. What Newegg seems to be bringing is very fair prices and not killing you on shipping. Pretty sweet deal. :)

that's just the way things go...but here's something funnier...when i bought the 8k7a from newegg maybe 2 weeks ago, it was $132 w/free shipping. ok, i bought it...then a few days later it was $130 - but with $5 shipping, the price actually went UP $3:D hey, since they are good and cheap anyway, it no biggie
