Our propaganda is hilariously entertaining.

Their's is sad because the majority of their starving population believes in it and the rest that doesn't, goes to a gulag.

NKoreans die from lack of food and lack of guns.

Muricans die from too much food and too much gun access.

Both are relieved not to be Canadian.

Not enough money to fix the pollution problem. We spent all of our money building ghost cities.

What's neat about communist countries is that they have very similar economic indicators as capitalist countries. One thing people noticed a long time ago in the US is that clothing often reflects the way people feel. People dress flashy and colorful when the economy is doing great. Fashion becomes very bland and depressing when the economy is depressed.

Soviet Union. Look how happy we are in these bland colors!

Leaders of North and South Korea. Which one do you think comes from a country with a good economy? Is it the guy with the nice suit, colorful tie, smile on his face, lifting his hand to the sky? Or is it the guy dressed like a poor Russian immigrant with glasses from the 1980's, no facial expression (like a poor Russian immigrant), and the awesome Giorgia Tsoukalos hair?

The gentlemen on the right looks richer. He has a sort of Steve Jobs stupid clothing but-I'm-so-rich-I-don't-give-a-fuck kind of quality that let's him get away with it.

Either I am missing something or I amthe only one that read the article...

"In a fascinating experiment, two Western expats in Beijing — Nick Bonner of Koryo Tours and Dominic Johnson-Hill of Plastered 8 — asked North Korean propaganda artists in Pyongyang to help them create images of a socialist ideal of China. "

They are not propaganda posters like you are all thinking they are.

also, that pic of clinton shooting guns is definitely false. he was the one that signed the 1994 gun ban.

Have you no sense of humor?

Also, Clinton never banned guns.

I don't think he does have a sense of humor....but also think Clinton did ban guns.

He signed the assault weapons ban on 94 that stopped the sale of MAC 10s, AR15s and a number of other semi-auto assault rifles for 10 years until the ban expired in 2004.

That's why you see so many AR-15s on the market today. Starting in 2004, everyone started trying to play catch up. There was another ban in the 80s that took fully automatic weapons off the table. You could no longer modify weapons and had to purchase authentic full auto rifles that were already manufactured (much more expensive) plus pay a huge tax stamp from the ATF....plus a 90 day waiting period.

Well apart from the "were not spying on your every move, this is the land of the free don't you know?" bit of propaganda.

That wasn't so hysterical.

eh, what I was getting at was the implication that guns were banned. They were never banned--at no point in US history could you go out and not buy a gun. This did not happen under Clinton, or any president.

Clinton passed the Assault Rifle ban. Who couldn't go out and buy a gun, or guns, while the AR ban was going on?

anyone?
