LOL! Look at the current bid of this Visiontek Geforce3 at E--bay!

well the gun one is pretty bad, but remember the one where the guy sold the ps2 box (and receipt!) for like 400 something? hahahhah

ROFLMAO! URLs for sale? Where have I been? I'm off to auction a few "hot" price deals for the low minimum bid of $127.00 🙂

I'm guessing people are just using false accounts and bidding the prices through the ceiling. Serves the sellers right.

Don't know if it's really illegal; the guy did at least put...maybe a half a minute's worth of effort into finding the URL. He's just providing a (rather useless) service. 🙂

Hmm, seems that I should auction off double posts! 😛

LOL Jeff. I still don't get it though, How could one be.... ummmm..... well.... stupid enough, to bid on a URL. Yeah, I'm going to bid on something that OBVIOUSLY states that you are NOT getting the gun, just a URL, and then actually PAY the jackass that roped me. Sheesh.

i think it's legal to sell url or pricewatch or even anandtech forum,
just put them on a piece of paper, or even seriously make it as a book, called it "101 ways to good deals", "hot deals for dummies", "using hot deals special edition", "teach yourself how to find hot deals in 1 hr", etc...
you're selling your knowledge of knowing some web sites.

This has to be the funniest scam since cyberrebates.

I like the "If you don't know what a URL is, you still will owe me the money" text.

hahahahahahaha

you know, the funny thing is those sellers are still gonna have to pay eb@y that 3% or so of what the auction ended at. so they'll get screwed when the people realize and don't pay up. granted thats not a whole lot of dough, but still.

Anyone notice the bid history for the gun? Almost all of them are from one guy. It's probably the same guy selling the URL, and if it isn't him or someone working for him I fell real sorry for them. 😛

lol. that is great, put those people in there place.

No, e-Bay refunds fees for uncompleted transactions. The Geforce URL guy has already made $25 on these so it's obviously worth it. As for the paintball gun, well I'm surprised that $1200 for one is a good deal. What, is that thing made of platinum plated titanium with truffle grips? The real estate domain loser must think it's 1999 or something and even then they are pretty lame. Maybe he slipped and accidentally added a few too many zeros to the price. It's the only explanation I am willing to contemplate without risking boggling my mind. Ah well, y'all know what Phineas Barnum said. These just prove he was right.
