Lol, just sent 500megs over AIM...

i've sent directories containing 10gig+ to my next door neighbor using aim. we cheat though, i have 250ft piece of cat 5 strung across the road and into his bedroom window. been there for 3 years now being held up with only its own tension through ice, snow, freezing rain and 100 degree heat. so far only 1 lighting strike that blew out the switches on either side but the cable still works

why did you use aim if the comps were networked?

too much of a pain to get working between comps because they arnt all running the same OS, transfering with AIM or Direct connect is butter

why did you use aim if the comps were networked?

because my neighbor is a moron and keeps screwing up his firewall
