Maybe Intel was getting a little worried because Rambus was gaining so much momentum (lawsuits on sd and ddr ram). I think that Intel knew exactly what they were doing when they released these benchmark numbers...

I don't know. Seems kinda strange since they will be promoting Rambus in the Timna and with Willamette...

NFS4, they have no choice to. They have a contract with Rambus saying taht they will do everything in their power to promote rambus and get something like 75% of intel systems with Rambus in them by the end of 2000 (or 2001? Maybe 20002? Cut me some slack, I only got like 5 hours of sleep last night!).

This is certainly a serious problem for intel, from many fronts. Not only embarrasement, but legal rangling as well.I'ld be dumping Rambus stock on Monday morning,(if I owned any).;)

I am trying to remember, doesn't the BX chipset still spank the 815e?
