LOL, Intel's own tests show PC133 beating Rambus :)

"You can't always compare the two chip sets across the full range of tests." - Intel spokesperson. oOOHh, Intel must be so embasassed.😱

😀 😀 😀, just confirming officially what we already knew about RDRAM.

How did they ever let that one slip? 😛

EDIT: No comment from Rambus at least till Monday . . . Their PR department will be working OT this weekend.

LOL! 🙂

Good link nfs4! (Someone should probably archive that page in case Intel pulls it.)

ahahahaahahhahhahahah! LOLPIMPROTFLMAO! 😀

Rambus will say on monday, "Clearly, Intel does not know how to fabricate benchmarks. That is our forte. Had they let us do the benchmarks, the i820 plus RDRAM would have won by at least 100%. We are very discouraged at this lackluster benchmark fabrication. We would now like to make public a law suit filed on saturday against Intel Corporation on the grounds of libel."

Maybe I'm just plain stupid but I don't understand the Benches :|. I don't think I know that much about these different benches but isn't it normally the highest number that counts?!?!?!. If so I can't see how the 815 beats the 820.

Anyway it's by margins which in any case can't get any worse for Intel. Thier marketing-gag didn't exactly work 😀 😀 😀

Well, please explain the benches 🙂

Hmmm, you're right...WTF is up with that?

Maybe they got the numbers switched 😉

I checked on it, they just got the columns mixed up in the article. The i815 should be where the i820 is and vice versa. Phew, I was getting scared there for a moment 😉

If you go to Intel's website, you'll see what I'm talking about and the numbers match up. I'll send them an email to correct the mixup.

Either way, the i815 still whooped butt 😉

Did no one like my lil Rambus parody? 😉 Hehehe

I enjoyed it...even the 2nd time! 😀

BTW, this is the funniest news in the computer industry since a hole was found in Frontpage 2000 that mocked out Netscape (put in there by MS programmers to insult Netscape programmers). 😛

It's a shame that fkloster can't be here to give his "insight" on these latest happenings from Intel 😉

Same goes for GUTB😛

You just wait till The Register posts on this tomorrow (which you know they will). They are gonna have a good 'ol time 😛

Zippy

I loved it. But Rambus will have to stand in line since Intel will have to sue themselves first.

Where's fkloster??!! I was going crazy looking for his reply. I'm dying to know what kind of crap he has to defend is ram. Maybe now people will wake up about rambuts!

Bart

stop bugging him

he's just a poor RAMBUS user

In all seriousness, I don't think he should be flamed for using it.

Obviously, he thought it performed better and he had money to spare, so why bother him about it? It's his choice.

i think fkloster knows its time to give up the fight for rambus. its over, everyone knows how much better sdram is.

Fkloster is long gone...he was removed from this BBS a few weeks ago 😉

Ohhh, and they changed the charts and put the two platforms in their correct positions. When Brandon speaks, people take ACTION!! J/K 😛
