I don't know what to say, except, obviously I find this hilarious.

Construction didn't contract as much as they thought, manufacturing is *increasing* as many expected, Lehman could actually raise money and people wanted more of it, several other factors.

I feel sorry for the suckers who thought it'd be a good "inflation hedge" because the dollar was "going to be worthless". LOL. Now that UBS, Deutsche, Credit Suisse, Barclays, and most other Euro banks are getting hammered you're going to see Trichet and King take much more action to help them out, bringing the other currencies down in relation to the dollar. That'll hit commodities.

It's the Wall Street April Fools joke. Tomorrow we'll be down 300 points, and all the traders shorting stock are gonna be like "April FOOLS!!! HAHAHAHAHAAA!!" laughing all the way to the bank.
