IMO you acted badly. If you knew anything about Asian culture you would have known that saving face is something that most do to avoid embarrassment. He didn't lie to you. He was saving face.

A couple words of wisdom:

1) Always keep a positive attitude. I don't care what situation you find yourself in. A positive attitude will help get you thru those bad times.

2) Be the best at what you do. It doesn't matter if you are a CEO of a large company, or a lonely street sweeper. Always, be the best and give 100%.

3) It's not what happens to us that matters. It's how we respond that really matters. Bad sh*t will happen to us all the time. It let's us know that we're still alive. It's how we respond to external stimuli. That's important.

My favorite book is "A Man's Search for Meaning" by Victor Frankel. He was a world renown psychologist who survived the Nazi concentration camps. Awesome read.

What's going on here? Should I read this thread?

Cliffs:

-Don't burn bridges, always have a positive attitude in the workplace.

-Women exist on ATOT, some of them use their gender as an advantage, some do not.

That's basically the 2 topics that went on in all of these pages.

^^ that and #3, learn to recognize a toxic work environment before it makes you explode.

Also there has been some ownage here and there, and more than a few people making asses of themselves. Not a bad ride overall, but may not be worth the effort of digging through it all.

We need MegaCats for comic relief.

Getting fired is nothing to boast or laugh about. I don't care what the job entails if you agreed to the terms of employment. Quitting, that's a whole different story as long as you do it for the right reasons.

Technically she got fired, but it really sounds like she quit or knew she would get fired for embarrassing him or whatever... but, then got angry about getting fired??? I am a confuse.

Quitting/leaving a shit job for something better is always a great feeling, but I say don't burn the bridge if you can avoid it.
