I'm not someone to harp on a particular hot button issue when it comes to a vote for public office, but I cannot accept anyone who doesn't believe in evolution as a suitable candidate for President. I just can't. It would be degrading to my own psyche. Romney and gingrichich are not so bad in that regard, but Santorum should be taken out in to the streets and beaten imo.

i feel the same way.

no thanks... there is no circumstance under which I'd want to see Santorum as the Presidential nominee for the GOP, no matter how much easier people may claim it would make Obama's reelection.

what will be funny is if Romney loses both states but still walks away with more delegates from today's primaries than anyone else.

Um, CSG said Santorum was the "least best." That means "worst." Of course, given CSG's confused history, it's very possible he's confused about what "least best" means.

Stupid the way this is being played.

MISSISSIPPI AND ALABAMA PEOPLE!!!!!

How many electorate votes would that be in the primaries? How about the general election? Is the Republican party worried that they will not carry these states in the general election?

Jesus (literally), you could run a plate of cheeze-whiz and dog poo against Obama in those states and win.

The fact that so much attention is paid to it is just sad. It was funny how all the news broadcasts shirked Hawaii.... "Oh, and Hawaii also voted today....meh" (something like 20K people total voted).

Santorum just has too many FAR right ideas to be able to win a general election. He will piss off too many moderates with some of his comments and stands a strong chance of losing many "swing" states.

Gingrich is an ass. A self important snarky smart ass. He does not like the idea that people somehow do not like him.

Romney? He is the best chance to beat Obama, but too many of the hard right-wingers feel uncomfortable for someone who is not a Christian. Being governor or Mass. does not help, but it is the puerile fear of other religions that factors more into the electorates reticence than his actual policies.

That and he is a very bad ass kisser. About as bad as Bloomberg! ;)

my post didn't quite CSG because I wasn't replying to him :p

there's a general mindset amongst liberals, though, that they want Santorum to win the primaries because they think he'd be easier for Obama to beat.

personally, after seeing GWB elected twice, I don't think it's worth it.

I think it has more to do with Obamacare and Romney being a traitor. Not to mention being a smug !@# of a 1%er. He never admits a mistake, not one single mistake. Everything he does is perfect, well thought out, and without controversy, just ask him.

He doesn't even pretend that betraying us is wrong. So if conservatives want to ordane being screwed, once more, by the Democrat's choice for GOP then by all means, bend over.

We're 'uncomfortable' with him because he's the spitting image of Bush and McCain all over again.

Newt has a path for success. Involves a map, GPS, genie, talking horse named Mr Ed, and a little eye of newt. Just be patient.

See, that is a misnomer right there.

When you are elected to REPRESENT AND GOVERN your people, you do not do something they do not want.

Why do people have such a hard time with that? I am not saying that he is not completely lying about it when asked now. He should say what I just said, that it was something his people wanted and that was his job.

Not to mention being a smug !@# of a 1%er. He never admits a mistake, not one single mistake. Everything he does is perfect, well thought out, and without controversy, just ask him.

100% on this.

That is the fallacy right there. This is not a frigging war, although the races the past 20 years or so have turned it into one. MOST legislation from both "sides" is not really that different, just a few that get the most attention. We whine about "Obamacare" when it was pretty much castrated and gives many perks that need not be there to the right's supporters. We say that we spend too much, but no real cutbacks to the military (as well as some starting to scream about Iran).

The sheeple are being led to emotional issues that are a lot cheaper to deal with than what actually matters.

I do not LIKE Mitt, but I think most of the reasons people do not like him are just shallow and unsubstantiated.

We're 'uncomfortable' with him because he's the spitting image of Bush and McCain all over again.

Well, that is what gets elected. You also have to realize that as much as a president seems to be the leader, he is really at the beck and call of the house and senate. Many things a President seems to have gone back on is usually a direct result of impasse with the legislature, not his own plans or promises.

It is a good thing that he/she does not have that much power. We could have been in real trouble if Chene... I mean Bush was able to do everything he wanted to......

How is Romney not a Christian? Mormons consider themselves Christians. Did you mean someone who wasn't a Protestant?

I bet Romney's 'i like catfish and grits' routine hurt him, that's the most blatant/pathetic attempt at pandering i've ever seen.

No way that tops Gingrich's US base on the moon-where he proposes spending billions of our money on his ego trip/blatant attempt to snag Florida votes.

Surely Hillary has to be included in her, "I ain't no way's tared" Selma speech. Watching an Illinois girl and Senator from NY try to adopt a black southern drawl was nothing more the worst sort of pandering I've ever seen. Sadly, the idiots in attendance nervously clapped when they should have yanked her off the stage.
