Hope it's not a repost (Did a search, mmm-kay?? 😉 )

😀

AUCKLAND (AFP) - <FONT face=arial size=-1>A tax on farting, belching livestock to be introduced by New Zealand to help combat global warming ...... Methane emissions created by grass-munching cows, sheep, deer and goats are believed to account for about half of New Zealand's emissions of greenhouse gases. Now the country is attempting to clear the air by introducing a levy on pungent emissions by mid-2004.

fart tax

I'd love to see the IRS 1040 on that one.

Line 1: Please enter the total farting in grams per liter you did for the 2003 tax year?
Line 2: For extreamly nasty blowouts, please indicate how often you needed to change your shorts?

I'll just invent a machine where people in New Zealand can strap it on their cow's asses and it bottles their farts. When the bottle is full, they can ship it to me where I will release it on my own property (For a small fee of course.)

We used to debate global warming in college debate, and we had tons of links between livestock and global warming. Cows fart 414 L of methane a day. It makes sense to tax farmers if you tax industry as well.

Dang! 414 L of gas!!! Hmmmmm........maybe during the milking process they should have a tube up the cow's wazzoo to harvest that gas. Could reduce the dependancy on oil.
