Wow...that was short....I guess they didn't want the distraction and figured Brown was most likely guilty.

I wonder if it hurts them in the playoffs.

Sure would like some evidence of guilt before firing him or anyone, for that matter.

They looked pretty good without him already.

Its an in-season topic.

Can we discuss it in the thread I have opened already?

Other than Brown shooting Brady and taking all the team reporters hostage so that they would write about nobody but him, could this have ended any other way? I would have taken game six as the over/under point though, it happened way faster than expected.

Ask a Mod to combine them.

Remember last week when people were saying how smart Brown was to orchestrate his release from the Raiders and get signed by the Patriots?

As a Raiders fan I have to say this was inevitable. Antonio Brown lost his mind and it was on full display in Raiders camp. The Steelers were lucky to get a couple draft picks out of him and the raiders were dumb/desperate enough to give them up. The fact that the pats even bothered signing him was bizarre. Just watch a couple minutes of Hard Knocks and read his insane tweets to know this guy's brain is broken.

I would have also posted a separate thread!! This in season topic stuff does not mean that just because it is about football that we must post in that thread...…..
Just imagine if somebody started a thread in P&N entitled "everything Trump"? and then expected that everything about out president whould be posted in that ohne little thread...…..Hell, there would be no new threads in P&N......
or for that matter in this forum...somebody posted a thread entitled -- everything food.......you wouldn`t be able to post about utensil......or restaurants or anything that had even the remotest association with food.....lol....
I hope your feelings aren`t hurt!!1 But this is worthy of a new thread!! This is not directlty talking about the weekly pairings!!

I saw this coming!! You would have to be a fool knowing this guys track record..lol

As a Pats fan I'm kinda glad, sure, AB's skill set and work ethic are unquestioned, but this guy is egocentric and dumb as a rock. Already under investigation per NFL policy, he goes off another woman with tweets that accuse her of seeking $$, truth is she never has sought a dime from this prick for his antics. I would guess Dallas might sign him but it's possible no one does, if Goodell puts him on the exempt list he cannot play a down but still gets paid, don't think any team wants to gamble like that.

They cut Dez Bryant loose, I doubt they want another loser. Though Jerry Jones let Ezekiel Elliott beat him up.

Interestingly, Brown was due the 1st portion of his guaranteed $$ on Monday, ($5 million), me thinks Kraft saw the writing on the wall, (an expensive player banned from playing while still drawing a paycheck), and decided to cut his losses before the payment wad due.

Are we sure they have to pay? I would highly suspect they would have a morale clause and personal conduct verbiage in his contract. They knew he was crazy. Also, I thought I read that he did not inform NE about this issue? Allowing them to invoke such clause and nullifying the contract. That's probably why they did it now, before the first payment due.

It will be interesting to see how it shakes out, Brown did sign a non disclosure agreement with the 1st girl but his agent should have warned the Pats that a lawsuit was forthcoming without being specific about who was filing it. Expect the NFLPA to get involved. Nike + a helmet maker have also dumped him, hope he saved a bunch of $$ from his time in Pitt, no one would want him right now.

Someone pointed out that Brown was still playing last week while Kaepernick still doesn’t have a job or even any workouts—I guess it seemed like their punishment priorities were out of whack.

I still don’t know how Gardner Minshew is a starter and Kaep is nowhere.
