Actually microwaves are a form of radiation, and so is normal sunlight

/mind asplodes

but yeah, "nuclear radiation" still isn't a distinct kind of radiation

all of the above, duh. Question requires a write-in. Strange the option wasn't provided.
:p

I go with D. And C. Depends on how long you are cooking, and what wattage the microwave oven is. :D

You're forgetting, once event C happens, D is no longer a problem.

The correct answer is
E. The nukleer radiation will damage the chromosomes in the egg leading to terratogenic effects in the chick and nobody likes ugly chicks.

I'm fairly sure that standing within a 10 foot radius of the microwave causes your brain to melt. I got a chain letter saying that, so it must be true.

Edit: You callin' my momma a liar???

F. You're doing it wrong. Give to wife, girlfriend, sister, daughter etc. and let her cook in on the stove. Have her make a sammich while shes at it.

Microwaves and light are gamma radiation.

Microwaves and light are gamma radiation.

nope.

Gamma rays are shorter wavelength than visible light. Visible light and longer wavelengths are not radiation capable of damaging the chemical makeup of our body, and thus are a vastly different kind of radiation. All of the electromagnetic spectrum is radiation, but radiation in terms of damaging to biological tissue, only UV and shorter are damaging.

Sunlight is only damaging to biological tissue because of the UV light emitted by the sun.
