I'm installing the 14-day trial from my Maxim Mag.

I doubt I'll every pay a monthly fee to play a game (any game), but 14 days for free will give me something to do for 14 days I guess.

after 35min. it's finally done, now it won't let me make an account, it seems to insist I have to pay for a month, where is this 14-day free trial option?? (and no phone support during playing hours 🙁)
 
have fun patching it too. haha

go download the patches from filefront.com and save yourself a few hours. 🙂

edit: unless the copy you have is already patched up to 1.8.x

edit again, nevermind, I found the 1.8.0 full patch
 
Yeah I just installed the free trial from Maxim too, and I thought the install was long. Just wait til you have to patch it, and restart the game after every patch. That's fun.

you still have to put in your credit card info so they can verify your age or some dumb crap like that. you won't be charged.

....ok i thought that too before i took the plunge and had a 60 priest in a month..........

but i can quit any time i want!
 
There isn't just a free trial, you need a special key to punch in. Generally it comes with the game, so people can give it to their friends and get them hooked too. Sometimes you can find it other places though, but without it you're SOL, gotta punch in a ccard.
