Ive yet to meet a handicapped person who doesn't expect preferential treatment because of their handicap. Hey, you, I dont care if you cant walk. You seem to be doing just fine rolling around in that electric wheelchair. Stop cutting and get in line like everyone else!

I've actually met quite a few of them. It seems like there's three groups:
"I'm handicapped, but I'm not going to let that slow me down./I'm not handicapped dammit!"
"I need some help doing what I can't do, but what I can do I can do."
"DAHHHH" *mows down people*

i bet you have but you didn't notice.

seems they fall in a few groups.

those that don't let it stop them and do what they can.

those that need some help and still do what they can.

those that need help and can't do much

and those that just don't give a fuck anymore and take every advantage they can

also you can meet a disabled person and have no clue they have problems. it can be anything from chornic pain to cancer or whatever. not all disablities effect the person all the time.

at target they provide electric shopping carts for disabled ppl to sit in, but usually really fat people just take them too

I agree. There was this one woman who would just try to run over anyone in her way. If you tried to be nice and held the door out for her, she'd try to knock you down or run over your feet. What a real wonder. Granted I'd be mad if I was stuck in a wheelchair all day, but still some common decency would be appreciated.
For her antics, we nicknamed her "Hot Wheels."

Haha, damn that's a good nickname.

yeap.

i have only seen a few times when it was not a fat person. usually its a old person on oxygen. but once it was a hot looking 16 or so yr old in one. she had a huge brace on her knee and had to keep it straight.

In walmart this weekend some young lady and 3 kids got into an SL600 with handicapped plates and although that spot was right next to the cart rack, stuck their cart behind the car next to them.j

The handicapped tag thing is a freaking scam here.

it is sad, but those people are trapped in a living hell and can't see any way out so they don't care what other people think of them or their actions.

It's not sad, it's pathetic. The vast majority of those people put themselves in that spot. I have not pity for someone who has given up.

So for the 16 year old, would you have?

there was a person i'd always see in a building on campus in one of those hover-round things.
she'd do the exact same shit. come flying around a corner, either run into you or nearly run into you and beep her little horn and not even say a word.
i'd love to have let the air out of her tires.
that would be hilarious.

yes it is far to easy to get handicapped tag. but so what she has a sl600? or 3 kids?

just because someone looks ok does not mean they are.

Obese people disgust me
I used to be fat and now am lean thanks to daily exercise (heck I eat more now than I ever did)

They just use their own laziness as an excuse to be handicapped - Obese people need to roll around more rather than be
carted around with a joystick just getting heavier daily

This post is less about obesity and more about simple manners. People can be jerks, whether they're fat and in a wheelchair or completely physically able.

Seriously. If you're so fat that mobs of angry snails are a real concern to you, keep your mouthy hole shut while you're around foody stuff. Losing weight is not rocket science.

Groups like http://www.naafa.org/ are a huge problem as well. They think fat people should be accepted no matter what. They also frown on diet and excercise since they should just be accepted

While rabid and possibly in need of euthanization, groups like these aren't a HUGE problem until they have some actual influence. I've never heard of these people, and I doubt any politicians care about what they're preaching.

There was a women who weighed a good 400 pounds on 5 foot frame in an electric cart simply mowing people down. While she did not have the cart going full speed, she still did not stop for people in front of her nor say excuse me as she plowed thru the mob. Everyone when they saw her did do the polite thing and moved out of the way. Some could not move out of the way right away due to the crowded conditions. She simply kept going.

Someone should have slapped her in the head with a trout.

..i've seen the same behavior at costco. I don't let it bother me. The chair/cart is their last stop before the graveyard. Tank on wheels prob.won't be there next year and you will.
