if the logo is for real, and for a show or business or anything that NEEDS to be professional - there needs to be payment. logo design runs 1000 to 10000..

Here's a thought:

Instead of us making rules...

Let's simply let those who are willing to help with any type of design "request" set their OWN terms and pricing.

Fair enough?

I didn't step in the way of anyone who wants to do a logo for a free t-shirt, nor would i need to.
I'm still interested in doing one, but I'm not going to generate the idea behind the creativity.

So she can't afford to pay someone for their time designing a logo but she will pay CafePress for their t-shirts which she is giving away for free on the show? Is she asking them for free t-shirts? Even if you are only going to pay out $50 or something for the logo at least it's not so insulting.

Why do people expect design to be given away for free but don't expect the same for products like t-shirts?

eh.. she's going to give away 2 tshirts.. one for her contest, one for winning logo if there is one.. I guess if the winner would rather have the cash the tshirt would cost, that'd be doable..

by all means, please don't play, if doing so would insult you..

do you know how much it would cost to have a professional design a logo?
logo design runs 1000 to 10000
granted, there are more deliverables as well as a design process for the real deal

obviously I've offended you too. not my intention.. please accept my apology. however.. y'all are making unjustified assumptions about my expectations.

it's a college radio station. she doesn't get paid, there is no advertising, no budget.. she buys the music she plays herself. there is nothing professional about it..

if you want to play, yay! if you don't, that's fine too.

i'm not insulted, in fact i'm still willing to participate if you or anyone else can describe a good idea for the logo
