I have meetings all day long tommorow...
I'm a graphic designer for a publishing house, we are taking a book onto 2 seperate presses tommorow, so I gotta make sure that everything will look the same. Tommorow will be stressful. :)

Here's my witty retort:
Our last short video was made for $16.00 (including $4.50 worth of video tapes). We sometimes have our meetings at Starbucks but I smuggle in bottles of water to drink during the meeting (or get the coffee of the day for $1.50) .. You obviously don't understand the nature of our organization; doesn't prejudging affect your karma as well?

Wow, I had the pleasure of visitng one of the Troma studios (fx lab) when I was up in NY getting some work done by Sabretooth...

Also had the displeasure of getting ripped off by Studio Optix. Mitch ripped me on some Scleral lenses; $800 down the tubes because one was split and he offered no replacements. Of course now that they are mainstream, I've lost interest anyways...

Needless to say, the name of the company is great, but makes it very difficult to come up with an idea... Catchy name, but for a graphic, my brain just bluescreens... lol

Not very often does one request a logo involving trash

Anyways, here is a submission that is not too great, went for a grunge look... Basically, I gots nothin` ;)

I like that one alot Azoth, but it having to be monochrome is a b!tch. That's just too hard coupled with the size limit...

Thanks for the compliment :)

Yeah, monochrome is hard to work with.. normally can cover up flaws with color and shadowing. Looking at the image again, I think it would lose a lot when shrunk down to business card size... If all the shadowing was removed, it would look too much like line art though.

I was working with the trash can lid idea, but it's just not recognizable in line art, which is about your only option at that size...

I never went to design school. I got my job based work that I did in the past. Everyone else here is a design school grad though.

I really like this but it's not very good for a logo... I'll talk to the other members of my group and see what they say - I might just go for a simple line art logo (SWB films on a rusty reel of film) and use this as the main web-image.. Not sure yet though so I'd love to see more submissions. Thanks!

Naw, it is more of a web header/logo...

What you need in here is someone who is very good with vector graphics.

ok guys, I got a really cool logo.. in my head, but I aint a photoshop pro, so I cant design it, so I'll try describing it:

Think simple for the wastebasket, a heavy dark outline with black lines that represent the depressions of a metal trashcan, with the lid just slightly off, and represented with just a disc, heavy edge and a handle on top. . A movie reel lying next to it on the right, rolled out and snaking around the words

Wastebin...
..................

Shit I wish I had PS skills. This looks really cool in my head.
