For anyone that does this professinally and wants to make some cash at it, head over to http://www.designoutpost.com and sign up there. That website is dedicated to submitting and creating logos in contests. I've used that site in the past and have been very happy with the results.

Thanks to the input of another member, I have changed Rule 6. Apparently, a .jpg format will not cut it with most sign companies. A vector-based format is needed. I hope this isn't a showstopper for any of the submissions.

Thanks, another member PM'd me the same message. Rule has been changed.

This shouldn't be a problem for anyone :) It's near common sense.

I mean for people who work in graphic design, so ThePresence and Myself, not sure who else I can speak for.

Speaking of which, Presence I'm looking forward to seeing your entry for this.

I'm out of my element with vector graphics, the pen tool owns me and I have a problem with the KISS axiom.

Nevertheless I enjoy it.

Suggestion - Why don't you give free tax/accounting advice for a year as a prize? I am not talking about having you on the phone everyday but like a PM or email once in a while for a general question would be nice.

Mine

that looks pretty good, cept for the red and blue color scheme

It can be easily changed....

What colors do you want CPA?

We are open to the colors. Our initial preference was that the colors should sit well on a Navy Blue shirt. But the shirt color can always be changed if we like the color scheme used. Also, I think the colors can be tweaked once the winner is announced.

I'm going to post this in the original thread.

They will come in time, give it a few days, I'm going to sketch some more ideas out tomorrow at work.

Navy Blue Shirt can be changed. It was our first thought, but we can always change the color to suit the logo.
