Logitech's Mouseware Drivers for the MX510

Hi.

I have the MX510, and I used to have an MX500, and after installing Logitech's Mouseware for it (MX500), everything went downhill. I'm now wondering: Do the Mouseware drivers for the MX510 optimize its performance? Or do they just do what they with the MX500 (Make it worse?).

well on my MX700..I could not run Thief 3 without the mouseware drivers..I was also very hesitant to use them..but so far all is well

I'm pretty sure as soon as I installed them the mouse became a lot more sensitive (good obviously).

Yes, the 9.80's are needed to take advantage of the 12-bit controller in the MX510 instead of relegating to the 8-bit from the previous models.

edit- also check the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\lmouflt2\Parameters\<insert mouse name>\0000 key with Regedit and that "Resolution" has a value of 8. This dictates the DPI for the controller IIRC.

why usb..I find that PS2 for my mx 700 is fine and in fact the only way I can set it up with MX duo combo

Mine says 0

Mine says 0 too... should i change to 8?
