If you don't know about this keyboard, here is the info page.here I was shopping at Target and saw it on sale so I picked this puppy up for $50, which is a $20 discount.

I love illuminated keys since I game on my PC at night, and the big bonus is that you can store up to 50 special commands and macros into the 18 special function keys on its far left side. People who do a lot of stuff in programs like Photoshop may appreciate that it can record keystrokes (with pauses) on the fly. It's basically the same as the G15, but without the useless LCD screen. It even has two USB ports to plug other stuff into it. All in all, a great little unit.

I have this keyboard, and can give it a hearty "NO". The keys are clear then coated with a colorant. Over time (in my case, about 6 months) the colorant wore off the top of often-used keys (j, f, e, d, and s specifically) and they look like crap. I returned the keyboard and they replaced the keys, only to have it happen again.

Logitech (pdf link) has a $20 rebate on it (both require original upc's.)

However I hate rebates, and have no need for the G15 over the G11, so I bought a backup G11 at Target, to use when my G15 dies.

Thx OP.

If you call Logitech, they know about this problem and will replace your keyboard for free without you having to send it in.

this happened to my G15 when they first came out. They have since corrected the problem since my replacement doesnt experience this problem. Give their customer service dept a call.

As Venomous mentioned, contact Logitech directly. They're customer support is amazing. They'll send you a new one without even having to send your old keyboard back.

For those saying that teh LCD is "useless" then you obviously don't know that there are MANY useful little gadgets that you can install that are nice. I like the teamspeak utility that will display the name of the person speaking. Very nice while you are in game.

they will take care of the problem.

I prefer the blue g15 over the new orange. Its cheaper for LT to use any color but blue. I wish they would of stuck with people have been used to. Im buying 2 more G15s until logitech goes back to blue.
