Logitech z680 THX -VS- Creative Megaworks THX 650

How do these compare in quality of sound? Which in your opinion is better, forget how much they cost.
I heard the z680's output a heavier bass compared to the creatives but give a worse treble output.
Any comments appreciated, thanks.
 
both have been so highly regarded that you really can't go wrong with either of them.

Me, personally I am upgrading my speakers this summer. I have chosen the Logitech Z-680's because of all the extra features. Sound quality-wise I know I would love either system, but I'm going with Logitech because of all the extra inputs it has. I beleive it has enough inputs to switch between 4 systems at once. And it has all different types, for XBOX/PS2/Gamecube/DVD Player, etc...not to mention the extra decoding options. the megaworks on the other hand are made to be first and foremost computer speakers
 
I have the z-680s and love them! Can't speak for the other set, but you can't go wrong with the z-680s, they ROCK!!!!
 
The Creative Megaworks THX 650 are much better when paired with the Audigy 2, better Highs than Logitech, The base is not as good though, but not at all bad.
I heard the Creative Megaworks THX 650 and all I can say is wow.
I have the Kplish 4-1's and am going to get these for my next upgrade definately.

 
Damnit, this is a very hard choice...im gonna use the audigy 2 platinum as the sound card..but the base is worrying me on the megaworks. How is the base in a detailed explanation? is it considerably weaker then the z680's? say for example if i never heard the z680's or ever had the benefit of owning or listening to a expensive sound setup over $300, would i notice the weak base of the megaworks?

I agree, I have heard the 680's and had the 560's but sold them because the excessive bass annoyed the crap out of me. The Megaworks 650's are my next upgrade 🙂
