Logitech Z5500 vs Klipsch Ultra 5.1

Which do you suggest? They will be fed signal from a M-Audio Revolution 7.1. I would like to be able to hook it up directly to my DVD player, but it's not needed. I listen to mainly rock and play FPS. I consider myself a SQL person.

i went with the Klipsch 5.1 myself...very strong, crisp, nice sub. I don't know how the 5500's sound so its not a fair comparision. I did however get them from Dell with coupons at a total cost of $223. That was the deciding factor.

Good Luck!!

I got in on the same deal. Buying for retail price is lil high, but it would still be worth it. Klipsch without a doubt

sorry to hijack this thread but since it seems that the overall vote is for the klipsh. How about the Creative Labs Gigaworks s700 5.1 and the Klipsch Ultra 5.1 😀

Probably the Klipsch, their Reference series theater speakers are unbelievable. I don't mean to hijack but since a few speaker aficionados seem to be present, I want to know whether to get the Z-5500's for Xbox or a Logitech Z-5300e. I don't care much for fidelity but much rather for 5.1 positioning. Does the Z-5500 beat the Z-5300e hands down or can the Z-5300e still compete with "matrix" upmixing? I could use the 120 some dollars savings if the Z-5300e offers decent positioning.

logitech is good for low-highish end, but if u want the really good stuff and have the $$, get kilpsch by all means!!!

creative has good design and build on some models, but the sound reproduction cant match the rest
