LOGITECH Z520 SPEAKERS $50 AR plus shipping

Frys.com has LOGITECH Z520 SPEAKERS for $110 - $60 rebate (limit 2). Shipping is about $9 for one, and $12 for 2. The same speaker goes for $85 at Buy.com and $100 at Newegg. Some people shy from rebates--I've never had any issue with Logitech rebates. These are ok for casual listening (definitely not for gaming or movies due to the lack of a subwoofer).

Hmm... I could have sworn that Z520s had a Sub included. BTW just because a Sub is not included does not mean that it doesn't have any bass. Though I haven't heard a set or heard any reviews for them.

Z520 is 2.0 and Z523 is 2.1. Most of Logitech's higher-end models (such as Z-2200/2300, Z-5500) are excellent; whereas their USB speakers (such as the discontinued Cinema) are downright terrible. Unfortunately, most reviews consider the new Z-623 (replacement for Z-2300) to be mediocre, as well (too much cost cutting?) I think Z520 is decent for $60; though the sound is not bright or crisp enough in my opinion, and definitely is lacking at the lower end. I would not pay more than $80 for it.

I'm sure that's just a ploy to get people to come to the store, and possibly buy additional items. I tried calling Frys to see if they'd honor the discount online, and was declined.
