Logitech Z313 Speaker Help

I just bought the Logitech Z313 speaker system and I can't get it to work. It is 2.1 surround sound so it has 2 speakers and a sub. The way the whole system works is you plug the 2 speakers into the sub, and then the sub into the green speaker port. When I try to use it, only the sub works and no speakers. Any help is appreciated.
