My speakers (bought from Amazon, not JustDeals) just arrived about an hour ago. Took about three minutes to set up (I wasted about one of those minutes "ooo-ing" and "ahh-ing"). AWESOME speakers, even if it's for $55 after rebate.

i personally own the megaworks 550D and i have to say they are awsome, design isnt bad.

Something else to consider is RSL speakers. I bought a set after several users were raving about them on an audiofile forum. They do sound very good (for computer speakers). Only come in beige, I think and cost is $60 plus s/h (approx. $19 for me). The subwoofer is pretty big and heavy, the satellites are normal size. When I bought RSL regularly had auctions on ebay but none is up now.

But with this deal, the Z-2200 is a LOT cheaper than the other two 2.1 set of speakers you mentioned. At $55, these are the most expensive speakers I have ever bought in my life, in fact. I bought the Z-560 over two years ago for $40 and then the Telex SonicXS 2.1 last summer for $30; both without rebates.

I own the Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 and when set up correctly (corner loaded subwoofer placement) they can sound amazing...so I would agree with that ranking. They are expensive (~$120-130 when BB has a rebate) and the only reason I got them was because they were $90 @ BB after PM to SamGoody 2 years ago (fond memories of that deal).

HOWEVER, the Logitech Z2200s are fine speakers in themselves, and as MaStAViC pointed out...at this price point they are a straight STEAL. This price/value combination straight blows the competition out of the water (and the deal is pretty straightforward, sans the 'backorder')! If I didn't already own my ProMedias I would be all over this deal...In fact, I'm thinking that this would make a real nice set for my Mom's computer back at home.


Great deal OP...and I'll be waiting for these to come back in stock before October for my mom.

OK. So that was no help. $35 for new ones, $65 for refurbished. Clearly the guy made a mistake. Amazon it is.

Ok so I jumped on this deal.. Thanks OP.

Question is Justdeals is such a shoddy site. How can you track your package from there site? Maybe I am missing something but it just shows my order, with no status and there were three in stock when i ordered a few days ago?

have to email them. They usually reply with tracking # within hours. Mine is arriving tomorrow.

EDit: got mine today 8/13. Ordered 8/5. Nice speakers. For $28, this is the deal of the year! BTW, I am very impressed with products Made In China lately. My LCD, video card, etc have all been great.

Got a question: My friend wants a set of these speakers but do not have a way to pay for it. If I do same billing name and address but different shipping name and address, would that disqualify me from both the rebates?

JustDeals.com told some of the people who have contacted them last week that they'll have some back in stock between two to four weeks. The original Amazon.com deal is a good one as well for these speakers.
