whats the consensus on the Logitech Z-640 vs. the Creative T5400
do either of them have SPDIF?
how much extra do i have to shell out to get SPDIF. can i get 5.1 w/ SPDIF for under 100?
is there much of a difference going digital?
are the only speaker systems with SPDIF the ones with decoders like the 680

S/PDIF is useful on SoundStorm motherboards because you can bypass the crappy onboard DACs.

It outputs the sound as digital rather than analog so you don't have to use the "crappy" digital-to-analog convertors (DACs) on the motherboard.Originally posted by: jerome12345
