Hi all,

I just switched up from an Audigy to the Audigy2 ZS and I am encountering hissing problems with a set of logitech z-640 5.1 speakers.

When the orange, black and green plugs are in, there would be a hissing noise and the sound would be very low and garbled. I got it used and it did not include the install disk but hope to get a copy soon.

I am currently using the latest drivers that is on the creative site. Is there any other software on the install disk that I may need to fix this?? I see a THX driver on the website also but I wonder if I need that.

When I re-insert the old Audigy, everything would be fine. Not sure if its a driver or hardware problem.

Any help would be appreciated.

Very common problem with the z-640's... Unfortunately, or lucky to you, Z-640's are discontinued.. Call up Logitech, and ask for replacements, in which they'll send you x-530 speakers for free and you don't have to ship the speakers back.
