Just wondering if the Z-560's satellites were shielded ? Because 52 watts/satellite is alot of power to put around a monitor. The woofers in the satellites look amazing. And how about the magnetic field from the 188watt sub ??

I'm gonna pick up this set real soon and i just wanted to make sure it's safe to put it near my case. Thanks

You don't need to worry about the power going to the speakers, worry about the magnets inside the speakers that power the drivers.

Yes, they are magnetically shielded. I doubt they'd be THX certified if they weren't.

Excellent. I cant believe the specs of this system for the price. I picked up the Altec Lasing ACS48 w/ a 50watt sub and 22watt satellites for like $120 CDN. The logitech Z560 are $200 CDN. Quite angry abot that! hahaha

Just got my Z560's, the manual says to keep the sub at least 20" from the PC and monitor.

Orddered a set for my sister, she liked my Klipsch 4.1's, I told her about the 560's
Picked them up for 135.00. I hope they won't disappoint.

Not really. Unless you're one of those people that put your subwoofer on your desk

20 inches is 1 foot and eight inches. I'm sure they suggest that because of the bass. I've read that that thing is as powerful as a large car subwoofer.

Just so you know, these speakers are not really as powerful as they are rated. When the Dell deal was going on, there was a review posted somewhere....they took everything apart and looked at the actual components. That done,
the reviewers determined that there was no way this is a 400 watt system. If I find the review I will post it...

not to rock the boat....just letting you know. They are killer speakers, and I enjoy them very much >:-D

I listened to these speakers at CompUSA today. I'VE GOTTA GET ME A SET! They were awesome! They were sitting right next to the Klipsch ProMedia 4.1 THX speakers so I started switching the sound between them. The Klipsch had a little better highend but they didn't even compare to the booming base these Logitech's put out! and considering the Logitech's were $100 cheaper than the Klipsch's it's a no brainer on which ones I'm gonna buy. :D
