Well, I picked em' up for 249.99, with free shipping, They came in 2 (!) days! And yes, they do feature the new wiring, where the wire is not hard-connected to the speakers.

Oh, and btw they sound collosal  Highly recommended

Mine came in about 5 days but they were the old style I guess because the wires are built into the speakers. I guess you got lucky to get the newer style. Doesn't matter though they still sound killer.

Does anyone know if these speakers can be mounted to the ceiling with standard speaker mounting hardware? I don't know what my hardware is called, but I bought mounting hardware at Radio Shack for $25 x 4 and then I bought some speakers with threaded holes in the top and my speakers are mounted to my ceiling.

Yea, I also got the old-style wiring ones, which really sucks because I literally didn't have about 5 inches on my rear speaker wires and had to use an extension 🙁

Oh well, still great speakers.

They have a built in bracket thing that can either sit on your desk or turn it around and have them mounted to a rear wall. As for mounting to your ceiling.. I guess you probably could do it in the position they come in for sitting on a desk.. theyre positioned so if they sit on your desk, they angle up, so on your ceiling, they would angle down. Not sure how far back you would need to be or whatever though

Well, got mine. Much improved over the boomy z680, but still severely lacking in midrange. Overall, a *great* value for the price.

There's little doubt in my mind that the Klipsch Ultra 5.1's probably sound better (heck, my Promedia 4.1's sound 'better'), but not for this price and feature-set. I'm keeping these 🙂
