honestly whats with these klipsch fanboys who dont even check the quality of logitech first?

my friend dumped his klipsch 4.1 setup for z680 and me i cant tell the difference. but unless you've had experience on both, i think you shouldn't be so quick to say that this isnt a hot deal especially considering this is much cheaper than the klipsch

There is a reason the Logitechs are cheaper. They don't even have seperate tweeters like the Ultras do!

I hate to break to ya, fanboy, but the Logitech's are equal to or superior to the Klipsch Ultras in every category. They both deliver 500w RMS, and the z5500's have a 10 inch woofer compared to the dual 8 inchers on the Klipsch. We'll call that a draw on power and bass. The biggest difference is the breakout box. The Klipsch box is a no-frills, industrial-ugly, volume control unit. The z5500's box, however, is a mini-receiver that has built in Dolby Digital, DTS, and DTS 96/24 decoding along with Opitcal, Coaxial, and Stereo inputs so you can hook up all your devices directly to the system. It's also small, stylish, and comes with an infrared remote so you can control everything from the couch. Yes, the Logitech's only have one driver in the satellites, but that doesn't mean lower quality sound. Here's a quote from a review on The Tech Zone:

A look at the satellite speaker reveals the same 3 inch dual phase plug speaker used in the Z-680 but Logitech did a few tweaks to improve the sound. The Klipsch 5.1's are quite a step up from their 4.1's.

Either way, both Klipsch and Logitech make decent computer speakers, and I'd like to hear the Logitech z5500's. I prefer my Klipsch speakers to the older 680s.
