After Sunday, January 16th I would presume Amazon is going to drop the price back down... maybe even below 269.99. The current $30 promotional certificate for purchases from $250-500 makes Amazon need to raise the price on their big sellers (like the 5500's). So I hope after this weekend the price goes back down since the promotion is ending on the 16th. For people like me in CA, Amazon = No Tax AND No Shipping, so I'm definitely waiting for Amazon to drop these things back down so I can snag em.

As expected, Amazon now has them at $279.99 shipped. Tax in KS, ND, and WA. I'm sad they didn't go below 269.99, but I can buy them now and if the price goes down within 30 days I can PM, right? I hope so.

They're basically the new 680's. Having had two sets of 680's I see no reason why these won't kick absolute ass. I would pick a set up but I'm incredibly happy with the 680's.
