Hmm, I bought these for a total of $4.37 back in October. And right now I'm picking up a set of ATP3s, a Visioneer 5800 scanner, 256 MB of PNY PC133 SDRAM, and one of those nifty tape strip dispensers for a little under $30.

BBuy has dropped their price to $23.99.
I bought mine at OMax with a PM to Target.
They wouldn't go 115% because Target wasn't an office supply store.

I'm assuming this is nationwide...was this a nationally published flyer?

In the midwest it is... hopefully I can get a small refund from Office Max for the $39.99 I paid about a week ago! I got a set for my sister for a present, I use these at work. I don't know if they are "the best", but for $25, they beat the crap out of those little cube ones that go for about the same price. They really do sound nice to me... and I'm sort of a stereo snob. Much nicer than what I thought that price range would get me.

Picked up one for a system build. Thanks! The Z-540 were on sale next to it, $70 I believe...or was it $60?

This is a great little 2.1 speaker system - especially for $23.97... I just bought mine around a month or two ago. Very impressed with them so far.

My bro and I bought the last two at the target on camden in San Jose, CA.

They had the z540 for 60 bucks i think. Is that a hot deal?

I think i'd hook up two z340's instead of the z540, same price and you get two sub woofers.

The BB.com site shows $49.99. Where did you see them for $23.99?

Usually after the first dozen pricematches at a particular BB store (not online) they get the hint and decide to make their price equal to, or a few cents lower than their competitor so that they dont' have to 105% PM anymore. This is probably YMMV.

Hey, I just picked up a second pair @ Target today (Long Beach, CA store). Makes a great X-Mas gift :) Very good price @ 23.97... They still had a bunch in stock, not on the shelves, but I asked a clerk to check the back and they had quite a few....

I just fired these up for my laptop and they actually sound pretty decent for the money I paid for them.

I price matched them at Best Buy. They price is $50, and their PM policy is to give you 10% of the difference between their price and their competitor's price. So I walked out with two sets for $21.40 each plus tax. Be sure to bring the ad with you. It took me 20 minutes to finally get someone in the customer service department who was with it enough to sucessfully call Target to get the price.

Just to add my 2 cents...
I am picky, but for the price, these sound really good. They don't get extremely loud, but pleny loud enough for normal use.

you might want to check to see if your integrated audio has 4 channel sound. if not, you are out of luck and must use a 4 channel sound card. or split the signal, but it won't be surround sound, just duplicated for front and rear. once you determine you have 4 channel, just hook one up to the front output (and put these up front of course) and hook one up to the rear output.

Got the last two in Matteson, IL. None in stock in Orland Park, IL.

Thanks to Coraanu for the heads up!
