Hi guys, just like the title says.

My Logitech X530-5.1 doesn't want to come on. When I push the on button on the speaker, the light doesn't come on, I don't get any sound.

I checked the power cord and it is pluged in.
All the conections is corrects but still nothing.

Also if i plug my headphones into the headphone socket on the speaker, the headphones work.

Any ideas whats wrong?

Either the amp is bad or just the power switch. Either way the set is DOA and needs to be RMAed.

Sending it back is going to be a problem, 🙁

I bought it in Canada in 2005 and I'm in South Africa right now.

Is there any way to fix them?

Or whats my options.

O well,... that speakers really were great, right up to the very end.

Thanks for your time mpilchfamily.

As a last thought... do all PC speakers not last long?

I have 2 different sets of older altec lansing 2.1 pc speakers, both of which work great to this day. One set is over 8 years old, the other is maybe 6 years old. One set has, in fact, been tossed around in the trunk of my car multiple times and still works great.

So no, pc speakers are not "supposed" to break quickly, granted many electronics fail pretty fast nowadays
