Logitech X-530

I just got a set of the Logitech X-530 for $43 with $10 rebate. It works great. sorta. Initially only the front two speakers were working, however, I downloaded a new driver for the Creative Lab sound card and now i got the rear two speakers working, but the center still doesnt work.
I have an Asus mobo with a Soundblaster Live! [D400] sound card. I dont know if the sound card is 5.1, but it should be since it has all the plugs for the wires. Orange, green, and black. Also, i have the SP2 upgrade as well and all the lastest drivers and firmware. I know people tell me it doesnt give 5.1 if the source isnt, but ive tried all my dvd movies and none of them have the center speaker working. I have windvd 6 platnium and enabled both the 5.1 speaker setting in windows and the creative lab mixer.
A weird thing is, when i do the testing, all the speakers work, even the center one. One thing people suggested is turn CMSS on, but that was junk. It worked but the rear had some weird echoing and distortion and someone else said the CMSS isnt true 5.1
SO PLEASE HELP

can you give system specs, and exactly what sound card is it?

Also, when you tested the DVD's, did you go into the DVD options and set it to 5.1? if you didn't DVD default is just stereo, and you can still get multiple cannels of sound from it, but the sound driver has to convert the 2.0 sound into 5.1 sound, maybe you installed an incorrect driver or something.

Its a Sound Blaster Live! [D400]. I dont know if 5.1 or not, but im sure because the back has 5 plugs and a d-sub pin connector. There are 3 that are for speakers and 1 for mic and 1 for line in. The green and black are for the speakers and the orange says digital out and has a number 3 with an out sign so i assume thats the center speaker.
I have windows set to 5.1 in the control panel and i have windvd6 on 5.1 surround sound also. i have it set on analag sound card.
During the creative lab testing, all the speakers come on. However on the dvd i only get 4 speakers and the sub, minus the center.
i have an asus a7v266 mobo and an amd 1700 processor. and a plextor 708a dvd+/-r drive.
