I have these. They were around $55 shipped 5 months ago or so.
Pretty nice overall, and one of the best budget 5.1 sets. If you aren't into movies or surround gaming, you're better off with a quality 2.1 pair though.
The only complaint I really have is that the subwoofer is loud and boomy. My roommate had them before me and it was way too fvcking boombastic. And next year my room is right next to his, separated by only a thin wall. He BETTER use some damn headphones, causes there's not much I hate more than boombastic bass. Seriously its hard as hell to do any sort of work or concentrate with that garbage pounding.
Of course almost any sub can do this, but you need to turn down the sub with the knob as well as turn down the bass in Volume Control to get it to acceptable levels.
Otherwise, I don't really have any other complaints. Sure more $$ ones have better sound quality but these are pretty good quality still (SnR is fairly high compared to competing sets), plenty loud enough, convenient headphone jack, etc. Once I move into my new room this fall I will hopefully be able to have them mounted properly in 5.1 style and play them a little louder (I'm at home w/ the parents right now).
edit: Also, I got the OEM onees from Newegg and it ended up coming with the Logitech Game Console Adapter. It just takes the front, surround, and center wires and outputs them to the Red and White audio.
And no I haven't found the wires to be too short, even when I mount them better in my new room I believe they will be plenty long enough.
