recently my friend purchased the logitech dinovo (old model) with the mx900 and i love it! i'm thinking of getting one when i get the money but i'm not sure if i'll be able to find that model with the mx900 since the new models with the mx1000 has been out for a while now

i'd like to know for ALL keyboards that come in a combo piece, does it require that i use the keyboard/mouse that came together or could i split them up

the thing is, some combos come with horrible mice, but then again i love the keyboard yanno? so could i mix and match

buy the keyboard + mouse combo solely for the keyboard and sell off the mouse n get what i want?

also, how much better is Bluetooth to RF wireless? Bluetooth is fairly expensive

right now i'm researching on what i want, rf vs bluetooth and the benefits blah blah blah, i read this thing and got me kinda thinking eh?

is this true ... Besides the annoyance of not being usable in OS installation and BIOS scenarios, are there any other drawbacks? Is Bluetooth a better (smoother) tech than RF?

can u not use wireless keyboards when ur not in windows?

If they're just RF with a USB/PS2 connecter, I don't see why not. Though your keyboard seems to be acting up, seeing as how it keeps replacing 'you' with 'u' /sarcasm.

I recently got the bluetooth dinovo that came with the laser mouse and i think its just as accurate as the mx1000 standalone. As the previous poster said you can definitely mix and match as you like. I previously had the older version of the dinovo bluetooth that came with the mx900. which i felt was noticeably laggy, so I replaced it with the mx1000.

The bluetooth dinovo keyboard does function in BIOS if that was what you were wondering. The only drawback I have is having to invest in rechargeable batteries because the media pad seriously goes through them pretty fast (approx recharge every 3 weeks) especially if you listen to a lot of music. Other than that I love the dinovo it looks great and the keyboard offers a perfect amount of tactile feedback.

thats actually easy to get around....if you have the older dinovo version you jus need to keep that hub plugged in you can easily hide it behind the computer, while the MX1000 cradle can sit on your desk.
