Here is how Logitech receivers work. If you buy a Keyboard/Mouse combo, the receiver accepts two signals. If you buy just a keyboard, the receiver only accepts one signal, so if you add a cordless mouse later you will have two receivers on your desk.

Guess this would be a good deal as a back-up if you already own one.

For those that didn't get it the first time.
Note: This is the keyboard Only, No Receiver.

The Y-RC14 is the first gerneration Logitech RF device and will not work with the newer keyboard receivers. It works with the square box receivers with the status LEDs on top. It will not work with the receiver without the LEDa or the newest receivers that are wedge shaped. We have several Y-RC14s lying around that died and tried using the receiver on newer models without success. Logitech tech support verified that they are series specific.

BTW - If you ever have a probelm with a Logitech wireless product, Logitech will replace it for free including shipping and you do not have to return te defective product.:)

GetReal. Do you Know if it works with the mouse receiver C-BA4-MSE. I have a couple of them laying around here and could use a keyboard. Thanks

I have the original cordless desktop (still using it after 2 years) and I just can't let it go. I see this keyboard has the www, mail , and search buttons, so I may consider an upgrade. Thanks!

Don't know. Call Logitech Tech support and give them you receiver model number and they will tell you which of their wireless RF keyboards will work with it . The last time I called was about a year ago and at that point tech support said that they had some 27 different versions of the RF keyboards. I have never seen a company with as many P/Ns M/Ns andS/Ns s Logitech puts on its products. Trying to read all those numbers off the bottom of the wireless mouse is almost impossible.
