I'm trying to use my wheel and third (thumb) mouse button in Quake 3 on Win2K, but it is not working. I've found the registry key that lets you change the function of each mouse button, but I forgot what the settings are supposed to be in order to use the wheel an third (thumb) button. TIA.

Maybe I should be more specific. I don't have the mouseware installed, I just installed the driver (Don't want the em_exec running in the background), so the mouseware game patch won't work for me. The location of the registry key is:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\lmouflt2\Parameters\WheelMouse2\0000
It lists the four mouse buttons in the key and the values for each button. I used to know the values and what they did but have forgotten. Can anyone help? TIA.

You have to set your middle button to "middle button" in mouseware to be able to assign it. I don't have the registry enter like you do so I can't help you there. Sorry!

As for your thumb button...depends on what you bind it to. you can assign the thumb key to the enter key and make enter to whatever you want if you really wanted to...

The game_whl at logitech fixes your wheel in game.
