Logitec Z-cinema usb 2.1 speakers installation programam fails to install, also windows XP SP3 doesn't find any drivers to this speakers, the program ends without any error msg, but the log of the computer says there are no drivers found for this device, it seem I'm lacking the right drivers on my computer or my mobo desnt support these USB PLAYBACK. Any suggestion on how to solve this problem is welcome. Thanks in advance.JOENALMO.

The problem may be that this speaker system requires XP Media Center Edition.

System Requirements
  • Windows® XP Media Center Edition, Windows Vista® Home Premium Edition, or Windows Vista® Ultimate Edition

If your XP is not Media Center Edition, a post by jormajoo in this thread on Logitech's forums has an answer for you:

jbrondos: just uninstall and reinstall the software... =)

Others: You can install XBMC (XBOX Media Center for Windows) for example and use eventghost to map remote controller buttons to work a little better. www.xbmc.org and www.eventghost.org ... I got my system working very nicely. If you have two displays (regular and tv) use UltraMon to get XBMC to start in the secondary monitor.

In Eventghost you have to "add plugin > HID > Logitech Z Cinema " and "add plugin > XBMC" Then map all the buttons you need. I set XBMC to start from "full screen" -button. Does anybody know how to map it to the green MCE-button?

Let us know if it works. You'll help others with the same problem. 🙂
