I have one of these Logitech USB headsets to use for gaming with Teamspeak 2. For the most part it works great and has good clear sound and recording through the mic but I have one small nagging issue.

When I'm logged into TS, My headset will work fine for about 2 hours. After that, the mic will not transmit anything. In TS my broadcast light comes up when I use the "push to talk" style. When I use voice activation nothing happens.

It seems to me just like the mic is going into standby mode or sleep mode somehow. I have tried checking to see if the USB port was under some power saving state but it all looks clear there. While the mic quits working after 2 hours or so, the headphones still function fine. Also, to remedy the problem, all i have to do is close TS and then unplug the USB cord and then plug it back in. Everything's fine after that.

I'm about out of ideas here so if anyone has any clues as to why this happens I would be grateful.

Some things you may want to know...

- there are no drivers for this device
- i have turned off power management mode in the usb controller/hub

My system:

Seasonic Super Silencer 460w PSU, PCI-E ready, 24-pin
Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe
Onboard sound being used =/
PNY 6600GT
2x1024 OC Platinum
Samsung SP1614C HDD
Windows XP SP2 w/ all current Updates

Programs running:

AVG Antivirus - tried with this off as well
MSN messenger - tried with this off as well
Nvidia Nvmixer - tried with this off as well
Teamspeak 2 - obviously
WoW - the game I notice it in all the time, probably does it in others though
MBM5 - tried with this off as well

Only thing I can think of is that it's some kind of sleep mode for the mic in the sound card. The sound card is located in-line in the usb cable for the headset.

Thanks ahead of time.
