Logitech Tech Support really bad?

Logitech refuses to issue me a RMA number or a replacement for the wireless mouseman optical online.

They're forcing me to call their tech support number which is long distance, but I can never get thru and have racked up a lot of long distance minutes now because I'm constantly put on hold. I've even complained about that in e-mails, and they still refuse to issue a RMA number or replacement.

My mouse drains batteries in one day...Is logitech tech support this bad?
Suggestions as to how to proceed would be appreciated too.
 
Logitech support used to be very good but I haven't needed to use it for a very long time. I don't know what I'll do if my original Trackman Marble F/X ever goes TU...

my marble trackball was defective. after few questions, he decides to send me a new one. i didnt have to send the defective one back either. 4 days later, it arrived. not the same model, an updated model! i was impressed. maybe i was lucky
 
Similar experiences as Zepper and luv2liv here...Top notch IMO BTA that was awhile ago...
