Logitech Quickcam Pro 5000: $29.95AR (with Google Checkout)

I'm a webcam newbie also, but from my research this is a very very good price for one of the best webcams (some say Quickcam 4000, no longer produced, had a better image).

Other issue was that in some customer reviews people were having problems with the Logitech drivers (recent comments MAY indicate that the lastest drivers from Logitech's website) have corrected this problem. Remember something in particular about Dell laptops and Azalia (?) sound card?

If you link a Citi Bank credit card to Google Checkout, you'll get $5 back from Citi Bank too.

Once you've created a Google Checkout account, just purchase the webcam at Buy.com's website. During checkout, you will have the option to pay with Google Checkout (it will say $10 off $30 there).
 
It's there when you start the checkout process at Buy.com.

One thing to note: No longer produced Quickcam Pro 4000 was supposed to have slightly better PQ and had a manual focus (this one does not and I think also has a wide angle lens on it).
 
I have a citi account but the $5 off doesn't show up. If it did that means this would only be $24.99 which would be hot regardless of whether this is good or not.
 
$5 off from Citi will be from Citibank directly and should show up on your credit card statement (this is one time only when you use Citibank credit card and Google Checkout for first purchase).

Remember you have to link that Citibank credit card to Google Checkout then buy the webcam using GoogleCheckout .
 
I finally got it. I had to completely logout in order to get to the sign-in screen. That's where the Google Checkout is. Nice deal. It is the best webcam you can get so far as far as I know or have read about. Everywhere is selling it for above $60. $29 is a steal! Thanks OP.
 
Question: I can't find this order under Buy.com even though Google Checkout status says it was shipped. Do you think I can still get the $15 rebate since the rebate form says it has to be purchased from Buy.com. What do you think?
 
I made a previous purchase from Buy.com using Google Checkout and the Google Checkout receipt says it was purchased from Buy.com.

If an official Buy.com receipt doesn't come withh their package, you could just add a note to a copy of the Google Checkout receipt saying this is the only receipt Buy.com provided. FWIW, you could also call the number on the Logitech rebate to confirm (and as always, make copies of everything you send in for your records!)
