Anyone else having a problem with their mice lately? About 22 months ago I had a g500 replaced and I just sent in a claim as the one I got back is again having issues with the button failing to maintain contact when clicked and dragged.

I've used about 4 Logitech mice, and have never worn one out, or had one go bad. I don't know if it due to my light touch, my environment, or just being lucky.
 
I've went through probably 4 m570s in the last 2 years or so. The left buttons simply don't last. On the other hand I have Trackman Marbles that are going on 8-9 years or more.

The button issue is well known on the newer mice.
 
I was using a logitech MX500 from ~2003, finally decided to replace it (it was still working fine, I just wanted something better suited for modern FPS games) last year with a Razer DeathAdder 2013, so far enjoying it a lot, no complaints.

I replaced my mx510 (yes, 510, not 518) from probably about 10-12 years ago just last month.

The left button had FINALLY started to give out. I'd say a decade plus of heavy gaming use is decent.

Just replaced it with the closest thing I could find, the G400s.

So far, no complaints and its working great. I love it.
 
OP, I'm using a G500 myself. Which button/s were sticking on you? The quality on it feels pretty good but I made a bad choice buying this mouse as I am left-handed. If I had to guess I've had mine a little over 2 years.
 
Devoted G9x user and I've only had to buy a second one in one instance; when I knocked a glass of water on my first one 😀

My only complaint on Logitech is their keyboards have a flimsy connection between the wrist wrest and the keyboard that tends to easily break. Logitech will not replace it for you, whether for free or paid for, and instead let you RMA your keyboard to get a new one. So you're out the keyboard while you wait for it to get there and another to return. They also send you a brand new unit 😕 Makes no sense to me as it would be cheaper for them to just offer the wrist wrest as a standalone replacement.

My last few logitech mice have only lasted about 2 years each, and have died from failing micro switches as well. On my second g700s, before that it was a couple g500s.

I still have a MX518 as a backup mouse...that was used yesterday when my 1 year old Logitech wireless broke down on me...the MX518 is a tank.

I also have the Razer DeathAdder 2013 as my main mouse but it's too dusty at home right now (new walls/plastering/sanding) and don't want to destroy it lol
 
the original MX500 & G9 lasted me 6-7 years
G600's left click started to fail after 13 months of use, had to RMA.

All 3 of my Razer mice had problems less than 9 months in.
 
Had a G500 stop working with the left button,had a G300 which recently shorted out out of the blue about a year into ownership.

Funny thing is my wife has had a simple M100 mouse for her laptop and checking her emails and Facebook and its lasted about 3 whole years without a hitch.She uses this thing constantly and its been dropped by kids and everything while my Gaming mice have been treated so well by me......

Using a B100 while i make up my mind which mouse is going to replace my G300.It works alright for the moment.
 
The worst thing is that it's so hard to buy a new mouse currently. Loved my old copperhead till it died. Since then it's mostly been a variety of logi ones, but I find them all to be bigger than I'd prefer them to be. It seems they stick to the same exterior size as the rechargeable ones to keep their production line cheaper. And with almost no stores having a decent selection of mice out for you to be able to go in and feel them you are left to reading/watching reviews and finally submitting an order hoping you don't have to pay for a refund later cause you don't like how it feels to you.

On my 500, did some test pressing at different points on the button to see if it worked better in some spots. Seems to have been a bad move as the rate of failing to make contact has increased since then. Grabbed a 300 couple years ago as a spare if needed so will probably get that out of the closet until they ship a new replacement.
 
I got a G700 for Christmas. It feels great and works well. However, the battery life is really bad. It doesn't go more than a few hours without needing to be charged. Yes, they provide a USB cable that let's you charge while you use the mouse, but the cable is rigid and restrictive.

I'm really disappointed in that aspect of the mouse.....after only two months of use.
 
G500 has known issues with left clicking. Had mine fail about 9-months after purchase (perhaps longer?) Was a gift actually.

Get a hold of a Logitech rep. They know this is an issue. I got a G500S new in box replacement within two weeks of contacting the rep.

Not sure if they'll pull some "out of warranty" crap for you at 22 months, but unfortunately, the G500 has this manufacturing error. Lots of FIY videos on Youtube if you want.
 
My G700 wireless is over a year old now, no issues except that because it only uses 1 x AA battery for power I need to keep pre-charged eneloop spares for swapping on long weekend gaming sessions.
 
The one that failed me is the M510...stopped working completely yesterday...after only 1 year of utilisation...
 
Mouse lifespan depends a lot on how it is used. Some use it gently while others pound it pretty hard and fast. That shortens the useful life.
 
My mx500 lasted me 9 yrs of intensive gaming before i had to fix the click surface in mynleft click button.
 
My M100 right click is going away after less than a year of non-gaming use. It was never that good to begin with. Granted, it's a bottom of the line mouse, but I thought it would last a little longer.

On the other hand, I've got a Logitech M-BJ58; another low/mid range mouse that's more than ten years old that is still in daily use.
