Getting somewhat back on topic....
Given recent performance issue, I felt it necessary to update the post on these headphones.
About six months after I bought this Logitech headset, I encountered a problem whereby the bass completely dropped out of the units. I went through the MFG and got a new set as a replacement. Then just last week while I was gaming a LAN Party the right headphone channel suddenly stopped working.
Failure of two units in one year does seem a bit below par, IMO. However, to Logitech's credit, their RMA/replacement process is the easiest and best in the industry. All I had to do was call up their customer service line, hold for 8 mins, give them some info, and fax in my purchase receipt. Within a week I had a brand new set of headsets delivered to me.
Plus, they did not make me send the defective set back in.
With that said, I used to have a set of Plantronics Audio 90s and they only lasted a year and a half until they fell apart.
So in conclusion, Logitech durability may be a little below industry standard. However, their customer service is the absolute best of any company I have ever delt with.
