I own this headset and I have to say, it is the most comfortable units I have ever used. I can wear these all day at a LAN and my ears are do not hurt at the end of the day. Best analog headsets for the money and Logitech customer service is great.

Chime in with your experiences regarding these headsets.

$12.82 - Ground shipping to CA is $7.50

I ordered a pair of Logitech headset awhile back from ProVantage. No problems with my experience, but worth keeping an eye on the status of your order.

I had these and I thought they were trash. I found them uncomfortable and they look incredibly goofy.

Used these for a couple months, then they broke (wiring went bad where cord connects to the headset). Looking back, these are not adjustable at all, and began to hurt my head after a couple of hours of usage. I'd pass on these and find a traditional over-the-head style headset.

Logitech headsets sound like a 50¢ no name made in China Special. I bought one then returned it with in five minutes of listening to them on an iPOD at Best Buy. If you want quality then condider a set of Shure earbuds. If you have enough cash to burn then get a pair of E5C or the newer E500's. Combine those with a dedicated Shure (lapel style?) microphone and you have a complete high quality VoIP, music, and recording solution.

No. They are an IT equipment retailer with great service and very competitive pricing.

Why would you buy a headset just for listening to music? I'd rather buy headphones instead.

My Logitech USB 250 headset works great, no complaints at all. The ear muffs are a little uncomfortable after 4+ hours but that's about it.

I like you Ross, but that statement is ignorant.

Wow, there's a big difference between $13 bucks and $400. I'm sure that the sound quality is much better on the shure set but for that price it had BETTER be. I think I'd take my chances on a set of Sennheisers and a stand alone mic and pocket the extra cash. However, for $13 these probably aren't too bad. I'd estimate an extra $10-15 for a better set of the low end Sennheisers though. And a cheap mic on newegg for 2 or 3 bucks. I don't see this as being a horrible deal though.

so, 3 people said these rock, 3 people said they just "OK" and 6 people said they suck...I don't care if these are free and you just pay shipping...I'd still pass...

How is that statement ignorant? What kind of idiot who claims to be a music aficionado would use a headset?

I have tried more than my fair share of headsets. I think this are not very good because they tend to break (3months later) if you use them alot.

The best headset I have heard was the Turtle Beach Ear Force HPA with Beyer Dynamic DT 250 pads.

Better than the Syberia, better than the Medusa 5.1. They were just plain good. The source was an X-fi Xtreme music.

That's what almost every review says...I myself don't find this "hot" at all considering S&H is about $8 for almost everyone...

In response to the above...

No $h1t $200 Senheisers are superior! They will beat these things any day. I use those at work from time to time and they PWN.

BUT...

I am not going to spend $200 (let along more than $50) on a headset for gaming on my home computer. So for $20, this is a great deal on a headset. And just cause somthing is low priced....dosen't necassairly make it an inferior product. The MSRP on this item is $40, btw.

I will drop some cash on good speakers, like my Z-5500s.

You can get something like an E2C or E2G that still would rock the pants off any Logitech and most Sennheiser headsets.

might be a cheap solution for those who want to use skypeout for free till end of 2006. at first i was hoping these were USB headsets, but turns out to be regular mic and audio out cables.

USB headsets put a TAX on your CPU and RAM while tradional sets put little or no load on your PC. IF you understood how usb audio worked then you may not be saying what you are saying. Ususaly USB D/A conversion is not quite as good as what you would get from your sound card. Audio purists will always demand a discreete sound card and mini-jack headphones, the quality is much better, and the headphones are not restricted for computer use only.
