But $100 FOR A FREAKIN MOUSE!? My keyboard cost half that, and I think $50 on a keyboard is a whole lot.

It's probably going to be the same, but the main thing here is the bluetooth hub!

granted that most people on this forum that buy it will get it for much less--$100 is still a lot. i'd get it if a hot deal bumped it down to <$30.

I own a Cordless Mouseman Optical, and the 50hz refresh rate of the optical sensor is inadequate. As far as I know, the MX700 still has the same 50hz limitation. Does this new mouse finally up the rate to something reasonable like 80+hz?

Not sure why it bothers me so much... Probably because I came off an old PS/2 corded mouse with a refresh rate of 100hz.

cmon this isn't a monitor to nitpick about refresh rates, its only a mouse...i got the mx700 and can say it is the best mouse evar, with the rechargeable batteries.....awesome.

no the refresh rate question is important. suffice to say that the mx700 has such a high one that you won't be limited by it.

Thank you for the link. I didn't realize the MX700 used a different optical sensor. From the article and some of the user comments, it seems refresh rate for the MX700 or 900 shouldn't be an issue.

I don't think this is a bluetooth mouse... rather, it is a wireless mouse that has a free bluetooth hub added in.

yup, that mouse has poor refresh, it spikes sometimes but its no good. not to mention its sensor has half the logitech resolution from what i remember. course thats true with all ms mice, they blow

i guess they can sorta justify the price, since blue tooth hubs cost money, but i'd say 70ish is max i'd see as reasonable. even though an mx 700 + bluetoooh hub would go for 100.

I noticed a big difference going from a corded mouse to a cordless. You can definitely notice the difference when you're gaming. I had my little brother try it out without mentioning anything to him and he also said that it felt laggy.

my mx700 and 500 work just fine. fast enough for rapid movements during fps games. too bad i can't say the same for the first generation ms intellimouse explorer i had 4 years ago...

Its just a MX700 that used Bluetooth rarther than RF.
The majority of the price, like the MS Bluetooth, is not the mouse, but the "hub".
Could be a good mouse, but really its no different to the MX700 for everything.

Your a bit missinformed there.
The MX700 refreshes at 125hz.

It`ll be a Bluetooth mouse. To compete with MS`s Bluetooth mouse. The cost of having a "hub" that does RF and Bluetooth would put the price up even more, not to mention that the "hub" would have to be redesigned to accomodate both.
