Logitech MX700 weight

Been using my mx700 for 2 years now but haven't gamed much. Lately I started playin css and it feels heavy. Pickin up the mouse frequently is causing problems. The problem are those heavy AA batteries. I came across a pair of AA batteries and they were very light, anyone know where I can find these?? Oh btw...I did open my mouse and removed the weight near the back, but still didn't help.

Who made these AA batteries you are talking about? Where did you see them?

The weight is the only reason I haven't gone to a wireless mouse.

Well, the batteries that come packaged with most electronics are usually very light because they have enough juice in them to last about 20 minutes. 🙂

So maybe you could find a place that sells jumbo packs of crap batteries for $5 or something. Menards?

I had an MX700 and donated it to my wife and picked up an MX510 a while back. Far better for gaming, hands-down. But it is nice to have a wireless mouse for general Windows stuff...

Generally, light batteries dont last very long. More power = more weight. I guess you could always look for Li-Ion batteries - they're light.

I gotta agree with Nebben - wired mice for gaming. No battery hassles, no weight hassles.

decent workaround...

put one battery in, and for the 2nd have a paper clip touching both terminals. Almost no weight there, and will cut the battery weight in 1/2. You loose a lot of the battery life, but it makes the mouse much eaiser to use for gaming.
