To compare, I tested the Wireless Intellimouse Explorer from Microsoft against the Logitech MX700 and a standard USB wired mouse. Result!



As you can clearly see the MX700 is a whole 44MHZ faster on average when tracking across the mousepad than the Microsoft equivalent and just as accurate as a wired USB mouse. This is a great test to show the power of next generation wireless gaming mice.

During gaming our rail shots were more accurate, and everything was silky smooth.

I have the MS Intellimouse Explorer, and I cannot stand it. It sits in my closet. It lags way too much.

Theres no difference in responce time/lag between a wired mouse and the MX700.
I use my MX700 in Q3 all the time, with the railgun, and my aim hasnt suffered, and belive me, im good with a railgun. Even at close range.

i didnt mean that the mx lagged...it just sucks to lose ure mouse in your room...or have to change batteries during a match...or to have to change batteries at all =p

I got the mx700..but is skips around aliitle on the same mouse pad I had the wired intellimouse on...guess I need to reconfigure it.. plus logitech's never feel comfortable...microsoft always add the extra bump for the palm...oh well I guess I will get used to it..I like the rechargeable base unit.

Be careful if you are using the MX700 through a KVM

There are some known issues with KVM + MX700 = no extra buttons, just 2-button wheel mouse

I own the MX700 and it kicks ass hooked directly to my puter's USB 2.0 ports. Love the recharger feature built into the RF receiver. Very smooth, nicely contoured to the hand.

I had a Microsoft Intelli-Mouse Explorer Optical before this one and it got instantly downgraded to my laptop mouse

How about the MX700 vs. the MS Bluetooth mouse. I just read some of a review at Overclockers Australia and they didn't mention lag at all, from what I read at least.

Ive heard that its OK from some people, and crap from others. The Truth is, not that many people have the BlueTooth compared to the MX700.
People aint gonna buy a mouse thats crap in that sort of quantity, so the mx700 cant be that bad.

You might want to skip Logitech based upon my current problem trying to get them to replace my mouse.

One of the plastic feet came off of my 6 month old MX700 mouse causing the battery compartment door to get scratched. The white plastic shows where the mouse foot was and in the scratches on the battery compartment door. I have contacted Logitech and I have been emailing back and forth for the last 10 days with them and have tried to phone them but get put on hold. They have not agreed to replace the feet or battery compartment door. They have not sent me an RMA number. Bottom line, IMO, Logitech does not offer a warranty and it seems that I will have to persue other means to get my mouse repaired or replaced.
