Just purchased this baby even tho I considered it a lil pricey but what the heck.

Im running XP Pro (updated to the max) and Logitech drivers ver 9.73 (latest). Problem is that the mouse wheel no longer works in my game. I can uninstall the drivers and just go with what XP brings to the show and the wheel works fine, but I loose the function of all the other buttons. I have also tried their mouse hack from their website but that doesnt help.

Another strange problem is that when I go into mouse properties to configure the buttons (with the LT software) upon exit I get a vague DLL error, like "Run a DLL has encountered a problem and needs to close". Not much help there. I thought with XP we were done with DLL heLL :/

I can revert back to my old wireless LT mouse and have none of these problems (same drivers).

Emailing LT got me no where, just a canned responce telling me to try everthing that I had already told them Ive tried :|

I would hope that new drivers fix these issues, if not then its of no use to me exspec for those kind of $$ If anyone has any other ideas on the problem let me know, thx.

Link to Earth Village Review and Feedback

Try the above link for some solutions. Sounds like turning off the scroll wheel in the Logitech software and enabling the standard Microsoft scroll with TweakUI is working for most people. You might wanna try it...

I cant believe a company gets away with putting out a piece of hardware with no better drivers than that. What they have no QC dept ?

I read Logitech are aware of the MX700/Mouseware problems and it will be fixed in the next mouseware software update.

The odd thing is, amost every logitech mouse has that problem, and they have known about it for years. The registry fix on their website wouldn't exist if they didn't know it. Why is it taking them 3 years to incorporate that registry fix into the Mouseware?
